The Hostel

Do you want to spend an unusual holiday? In Hostel Rivamonte Agordino you can.
Built within the ancient mining center of Valle Imperina, the hostel is an extraordinary industrial archeology building. The ancient mining center, whose history began in the 15th century, was one of the most important in Europe. In the area you can still see the mine infrastructures (the mine was closed in 1962, ruined by the flood of 1966, and it has been now restored by the Park), among which roads, galleries, stables, and the ancient building of the melting kilns dating back to the 16th century, along an interesting itinerary of industrial archeology. These mines have provided for centuries the copper necessary for the shipyard and the coins of the Republic of Venice.
You can carry out hikes surrounded by nature: as a matter of fact, the hostel is situated at the crossroads of two thematic itineraries prepared by the Park, "La Via degli Ospizi" and "La Montagna Dimenticata"; over 50 kilometers of trails to go along on foot, to rediscover the ancient and recent history of these mountains.

Accommodation in the Structure

Beds:
The Youth Hostel offers 37 beds, in rooms welcoming 4 to 6 guests and in Family rooms welcoming 10 guests.

Winter Price List (from 1st November 2011 to 29th February 2012):
- Overnight stay and breakfast: Euros 25/person;
- Half board: Euros 45/person;
- Full board: Euros 60/person.
- Lunch or dinner with fixed menu: Euros 20/person.
- Packed lunch (2 sandwiches, 2 fruits and 1/2 liter water or another drink): Euros 10.00.

Opening: from Saturday 23/4 open every day, 7.30 a.m. - 10.00 p.m.

The Youth Hostel is open from 7.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Breakfast from 7.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.
Lunch from noon to 2.00 p.m./Dinner from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Check-in from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
On departure day, check-out within 10.00 a.m.

TV hall and reading hall with possibility to consult books and material about Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.
Meeting hall: the hall can welcome 100 guests and is provided with projection screen, PC, and video-projector.
Sale of books and gadgets of Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.

Booking and Payment

Booking recommended and required for groups of over 10 persons.
Booking at least 10 days in advance, valid only if made in person or with a simple communication via e-mail or fax.
It is necessary to specify the number of guests, date of arrival and departure, required service (B&B, half board, etc.), name of the group leader, contact of the person making the reservation.

A 30% advance payment is required on the Bank Account of Cooperativa Sociale Mani Intrecciate a rl, at Unicredit Banca Spa, agenzia di Belluno, IBAN IT 03 D 02008 11910 000005300687, or with credit card payment authorization.
We accept payments with credit or debit cards. We do not accept bank or postal cheque. A copy of the payment receipt must be sent via fax to the number 0437-62451 or 0437-949270. The settlement of the account must be paid at the moment of the arrival.

In case of cancellation, you will be repaid:
1. The whole amount of the advance payment if the cancellation is communicated at least within 30 days before the arrival.
2. 50% of the advance payment if the cancellation is communicated at least within the 10th day before the arrival.
3. No repayment if the cancellation is communicated in the 9 days before the arrival.
